I meant to post this on Friday but as it often happens, life got in the way. So without further ado my Friday August 9th Amateur Art in August entry No. 6, ‘Color Me’ Artist Trading Cards.
What Medium: Printer Paper, Artist Marker, Playing Cards, Paint, Paintbrush, Tape, Spray-on Adhesive
Estimated Time: This took me several days. I was able to complete one set a day – doodle first, drawing next, paint the playing cards, let the paint dry between coats, apply cards to paper, cut cards out – viola!

Here’s what you do – grab a sheet of plain paper, a deck of playing cards, a pen/marker, some paint, a paintbrush, some tape (optional), and some spray-on adhesive. Got that? Good. Now doodle some shapes. Any shape whatsoever. Or doodle a picture. I doodled shapes because I wanted to fill the shapes with pictures. Here’s an example:
